Creating a Corporate Presence on Campus
Brock University has created multiple opportunities for your company to reach our student population. Whether you choose to advertise on-line or take part as a guest speaker in our mandatory pre-employment training programs, our Recruitment Professionals will be sure your organization is participating in events that will maximize your visibility on campus. The following activities provide proven strategies for your organization to connect and cultivate a positive image with Brock Co-op students:
Corporate Information Sessions
Through
an information session, you can tell students about your company's
strengths and vision for the future, explain available opportunities
and network informally over refreshments.
Co-op Presentations and Workshops
Increase
your on campus visibility and that of your organization's by
participating in Brock's Employment Preparation Workshops or conducting
an in-class presentation. Sharing your knowledge and experiences
provides a unique way to connect with bright and eager Brock Co-op
students.
Networking Breakfast and CA Night
Participate
in targeted Faculty of Business Events including the Networking
Breakfast and CA Night. Held during the fall semester, the Networking
Breakfast provides an opportunity to increase your company profile and
meet and mingle with bright and talented undergraduate and graduate
business students. CA Night is an excellent way to introduce your firm
and target Brock's Accounting students.
Mock Interviews
Each
semester, The Co-op Programs Office hosts a Mock Interview event for
students. Employers are able to volunteer their time to assist students
in developing and improving their interviewing skills. Participation in
this event is a wonderful way to make connections and increase your
organization's brand awareness among Brock's Co-op student population.
Connect With Faculty
Some
of the most influential advocates on campus are faculty. Employers can
provide case studies from their organization for courses and faculty
can assist companies with conducting research or special projects.
Career Expo and Career Fair
Consider
attending Brock's annual Career Expo and Career Fair, which attract
hundreds of students from a variety of academic backgrounds. Both of
these events are an excellent way to promote your organization,
employment opportunities and begin pre-screening candidates for
available positions.
Scholarships and Awards
Establish
a scholarship, bursary or award in your company's name. Your support
not only provides direct assistance to our Co-op students, but
increases on campus awareness of your organization.
Golf Tournament
The
Co-op Programs Office at Brock annually hosts a golf tournament for
accounting students, faculty and CA firms. This tournament provides an
excellent opportunity for firms to showcase their organization and to
network with Brock Accounting students.
